- 1 large Nellie’s Free Range eggs
- 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning (optional garnish)
Imagine a comforting, flavorful pasta that requires absolutely no chopping and is ready faster than you can say "clucky"! This clever little recipe uses the warmth of our Nellie's Free Range Eggs and Grass-Fed Salted Butter to create a surprisingly silky sauce. It's a little bit of magic in a bowl, perfect for sharing (or not!).
Instructions
- Bring a medium pot of water to a rolling boil—season generously with salt. Cook the pasta for 8 to 9 minutes or to desired texture.
- Drain the pasta – do not rinse!
- While the pot is still hot, add the butter, and then quickly add the drained pasta on top. Toss to coat the pasta in the melting butter.
- Crack the Nellie's Free Range egg directly into the pot with the pasta and immediately stir vigorously. The egg will cook in the residual heat and emulsify with the butter to create a lovely sauce.
- Serve the pasta immediately with a sprinkle of everything bagel spice, if desired. You could also top with parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast.
