French toast, but make it savory! This recipe is everything you love about the classic dish with an unexpected twist that trades the sugar and cinnamon for melty cheese and all your favorite savory breakfast toppings. Did we mention it's made entirely in the oven? That means no standing over the stove, making breakfast for the whole family a breeze.

Directions

  1. Position oven rack in the upper third of your oven and preheat to 375F.
  2. Generously coat a nonstick 18"x13" baking sheet with cooking oil spray. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, beat eggs until yolks and whites are combined. Mix in salt, butter, and milk.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the prepared sheet pan. Place the bread slices to soak up the mixture, then flip each slice.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and raise temperature to 450F.
  6. Flip each slice of French toast and top with cheese and tomatoes.
  7. Bake for 5-6 minutes, or until the cheese starts to bubble. Top with basil, black pepper, avocado slices, or your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
