Is there anything cuter than a baby chick?!
Some dishes look almost too good to eat, but these deviled egg chicks are almost too cute to eat! The recipe calls for simple, classic, kid-friendly ingredients, making it the perfect centerpiece for your Easter-themed party, neighborhood potluck, or spring picnic. The kids will love adorning the deviled eggs with carrot noses and blue-sprinkled eyes, bringing them to life as adorable spring chicks!
Directions
- Cut off the top third of the hard-boiled eggs. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a medium bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to the yolks and mash together with a fork until well blended.
- Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, scoop the yolk mixture into the bottom portion of the egg whites. If your mixture is not firm enough to use a cookie scoop, add extra mashed, cooked yolks until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Decorate finished eggs using a small triangle-shaped piece of carrot for the nose and sprinkles or capers for the eyes.
