Pete & Gerry’s Expands National Retail Footprint, Bringing Humanely Raised Eggs to More American Households

Major expansion brings Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s Free Range products to nearly 35,000 stores nationwide.

SALEM, N.H. (September 24, 2026)– Pete & Gerry’s, a pioneer in humane egg production and parent company of Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s Free Range, today announced a significant expansion of its national retail footprint at Walmart, Kroger, and BJ’s, three of the country’s largest retailers. This Fall shoppers will be able to find their products in more than 3,200 Walmart stores and chainwide at Kroger and BJ’s locations. With this expanded distribution, Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s products will now be available in nearly 35,000 stores nationwide, marking an important milestone in the company’s mission to make high-quality, humanely raised eggs accessible across America.

For more than 30 years, Pete & Gerry’s has worked to raise the standard for egg production, championing a family farming model centered on humane animal care and long-term partnerships with independent farmers. Today, the company partners with more than 350 family farms as it continues to expand access to organic, free-range, and pasture-raised eggs across the country.

“We’ve always believed consumers should be able to find high-quality, humanely raised eggs wherever they shop,” said Tom Flocco, CEO of Pete & Gerry’s. “This expansion at two of the nation’s largest retailers makes that a reality for millions of more American households. As we grow, we’ll continue to stay focused on what has always set our brands apart: responsible animal care, strong partnerships with family farmers, and eggs consumers can feel confident bringing home to their families.”

The expansion comes as consumers increasingly define value not only by price and nutritional quality, but also by quality and how their food is produced. Pete & Gerry’s has long worked to give shoppers greater choice in the egg aisle, with free-range, organic, and pasture-raised offerings, while providing clear information about the farming and animal-care practices behind those choices.

Pete & Gerry’s history of industry firsts continues to earn recognition. The company was the first U.S. egg producer to earn Certified Humane® status in 2003 and the first egg producer to achieve Certified B Corporation status in 2013. Pete & Gerry’s Organic Pasture Raised Eggs were also recently named the 2026 “Egg Product of the Year” by the Mindful Awards, the company’s second consecutive year receiving this recognition. It is also the only premium scale producer that offers eggs from both conventional and organically fed hens that receive either Free Range or Pasture Raised outdoor access. This allows the Pete & Gerry’s and Nellie’s brands to meet consumers where their values lie while supporting their retail partners with the most complete premium egg lineup. As the company grows its retail presence, it remains focused on supporting family farmers and expanding access to responsibly produced eggs without compromising the standards on which its brands were built.
